And after betting for Android and praising Opera Mini, I guess I just have to say that I think Java is in phones to stay. Although I never really liked Java.

Very good presentation, btw. And it is interesting to see a person like Teemu betting on iPhone, not on Android, not on Symbian/Nokia.
Personally I envision a world where Apple does well, but Android really is the open, modern, IP-world friendly alternative. And I dream that Nokia is sensible and bold enough to adopt Android and slowly phase out Symbian. A lot of this comes down to philosophy of netheads (Apple, Google, VoIP, Web) vs. bellheads (Nokia etc, UMTS, Symbian C++), and the latter are bound to loose, because they are just stuck on wrong kind on complexity accepting mentality.
Note that at this point iPhone really does not have a "killer" application, so its superiority as a software platform is kind of theoretical. And while Teemu rightfully stresses the Web as a stage where the game is to be played, it is arguable, if Safari really is that great as a browser. (I like Opera Mini a lot, because its intelligent content compressing cache servers make it fast on a battery firendly 2G connection.)
P.S. Personally I am just waiting for a any device which works on WLANs (home and company authorized) and runs Skype, and is accepted by my big business conservative employer so that I can get that for free from the employer. (The problem with iPhone is that if somebody can afford it, they usually also get a free smartphone from they employer, so there is very little point in bying an iPhone as a second phone...)

meillä on aika tyytyväisesti leikitty Duploilla varmaan 1-v alkaen ja yhä leikitään, nykyään 6-vuotias leikkii niillä tyytyväisesti pikkuleegojen ohella. Duploista on hyvä tehdä kaikille muille leluille rakennuksia ja ympäristöä: taloja, kauppoja, yms..

Jos katsotte esim. Slashdotia, niin kaikki idioottiviestit on itsemoderoinnin ansiosta -1 pisteytetty, ja niitä ei lue juuri kukaan. (Moderoijaksi pääsee sitä useammin, mitä enemmän sun omia viestejä on kehuttu. Lisäksi moderoijat meta-moderoivat toisiaan, jotta monomaanisella agendalla ei pääse liian kauan väärinmoderoimaan.)
Paljon suurempi tulos kuin pelkkä totaalisen paskan karsiminen on se, että Slashdotissa muutaman minuutin päivittäisellä lukemisella voi skannata esim. pelkät +5 viestit ja nähdä vain todella korkeatasoista keskustelua, kuten itse olen tehnyt vuosikaudet. Säädän filtterin alemmas vain tilapäisesti ketjukohtaisesti ja esim. moderoidessani.
